About Valentina

Valentina is a 3rd year English Literature Phd candidate at the University of Edinburgh, where she also studied for her MSc in Enlightenment, Romantic and Victorian Literature. Her research interests are in Romantic radical politics, particularly the writing of Robert Southey. She studies how revolutionary movements in the Americas throughout the Romantic era affected Southey’s work and political ideas. More generally she is interested in nineteenth century radical politics, Marxist postcolonial studies and anything related to each revolution of America, South America, and the Caribbean.
